Svoje doprinose na člancima ne potpisujte, dok komentare na pripadajućim stranicama za razgovor, suradničkim stranicama i Kafiću molimo potpisujte tako što ćete pritisnuti gumbić na alatnoj traci ili napisati 4 tilde (tilda = 4x istovremeno tipke AltGr + tipka s brojem 1), što kod uređivanja izgleda ovako ~~~~.

Sorry if my colleagues seemed too rough.
They were just too strict. We archive talkpages, we don't delete talkpages (or part of them), unless there's a case of vandalism, harassing, exposure of private data etc.
"Welcome template" isn't just "message that says 'Hello'".
Welcome template also directs new users to all necessary information, so they can see what they can do and what they aren't allowed to do.
This is important, so that new user cannot later say "I didn't know that.". That's especially important in the cases when particular "uninformed new user" does damage to the project and later finds excuses with "I never knew that" "noone told me that". Although any person with some basic knowledge about nice behaviour in general and on the internet should know that.

No, thanks. I do not agree with being forced to keep all these pointless comments forever and ever on my talk page. And creating or storing a copy without the edit history isn't helpful at all (and could be regarded as a blatant copyvio, btw).

Please, do not leave messages on my talk page in German, because, I don't understand it (as you can see on my user page). I didn't force you to do anything, especially of keeping "pointless comments forever and ever", I just tried to explain how we archive the talk pages, even offered a help. MaGa, no, you did not only offer help (by repeating what others wrote before). Did you forget your revert? This edit by you is what I name "force". You removed the archive link I added, and replaced the page with an older version.

So you don't want comments on your talk page in a language you don't understand? That's fine, really. You're free to remove my comment, or to let is unanswered. I don't care, it's your talk page. But why should I, in return, keep long nonpersonal, and template-based texts in a language I don't understand, and comments by newbies (partly youngsters, as far as I know from IRC) who want to tell me how our wikis work? I just archived my talk page by removing (≠deleting) needless/outdated stuff and by leaving a permalink to the last full text revision at the top of the page – not in bad faith, and not "hiding" anything. You might regard this as the old school ("traditional") way of talk page archiving, though it is common practice and accepted in every other Wikimedia wiki I know. The full history including unambiguous diffs for all edits is still available. The history and all (potentially existing) log entries stay in one place (they're not subdivided into several pages with seperated log links), and all comments are only one click away (in the standard readable form). It's all very transparent, which is good. So what you call "the right way to archive" (multiple splitting of a page, its history and log, or creating copy & paste archives) can be regarded as technically inferior in some way.

Anyway, do you remember this state of hr.wikipedia? That was approx. the time I first edited Wikipedia. Not even the Wikimedia Foundation existed back then … --:bdk: 15:46, 27. prosinca 2011. (CET)

Hopefully they will get it (or at least some of them :). You have every right to keep your talk page clean, with exception that you have link somewhere on top of the page to archive, and if there is more pages as it happen, more links to it. MaGa just wanted to give you pointer, obviously not noticing that your a bit different way of "archiving" achieved the same purpose. I hope this message won't bother you more :) Happy New 2012! Anyway, I still wonder why this community is rigid to such an extend, and why it forces users – even experienced and obviously long-standing ones – to store pretty pointless template-based and needless noob comments for evermore. I mean, I really do know what I do … and, well, I'm only here to fix some stuff once in a while. It's in no way comprehensible to me why it should be forbidden to use one of MediaWiki's core functionalities for archiving, i.e. page histories. *shrug* --:bdk: 03:23, 27. prosinca 2011. (CET)

As always, there is a reason for everything. Although users cannot delete their talk pages, sometimes we had users blanking it and asking for deletion of blank pages, sometimes deleting sensible comments (comments or questions of admins) but leaving other garbage :), I presume you can imagine for yourself how far user imagination can go...

So we become a bit rigid, and some users are not caring to check SUL to see if user is experienced or not before warning him about project rules. Both Bugoslav & Black Arrow are users with non-empty blocking history so that explains them, MaGa made mistake and Kubura tried to explain. So, maybe it's not all so dark but I'm a bit puzzled how they managed to find your talk page and to bother you quite stubbornly...
